Tour description

Explore the Langhe UNESCO landscapes on this full-day private tour dedicated to Barolo wine, historic cellars, and refined local cuisine. Traveling in comfort with a private driver and elegant vehicle, the day unfolds at a calm and curated pace, allowing you to fully appreciate one of Italy’s most prestigious wine regions.

Your experience begins with a private pick-up in Alba or nearby surroundings, directly from your accommodation. The morning opens in Canelli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its extraordinary underground cellars. Here, you enjoy a private visit to a historic winery set inside an Underground Cathedral, walking through vast tunnels carved into the hills and learning about the region’s winemaking heritage. The visit concludes with a guided wine tasting, introducing the character and traditions of local production.

Late morning transitions into a relaxed lunch at an elegant restaurant, where a four-course tasting menu inspired by Langhe traditions is served. This pause offers time to slow down, enjoy refined flavors, and absorb the atmosphere of the countryside before continuing the afternoon itinerary.

In the early afternoon, the journey continues with a private visit to a renowned Barolo winery. Here, you gain insight into the production methods and philosophy behind one of Italy’s most iconic wines, followed by a dedicated tasting that highlights structure, elegance, and aging potential.

The experience then leads to Grinzane Cavour Castle, another UNESCO-listed site deeply connected to the history of Barolo. With the support of an audio guide, you explore the castle and discover its role in shaping the wine culture and identity of the Langhe.

Throughout the day, you enjoy a panoramic drive through the Langhe hills, where vineyard-covered slopes, historic villages, and carefully cultivated landscapes define this iconic part of Piedmont. Lasting up to eight hours, this private Barolo and Langhe experience offers a well-balanced blend of wine, history, gastronomy, and scenery, all enjoyed in privacy and comfort.
