  • The city of Livorno flourished under the Medici family, who turned it into a prosperous port. In the late 16th century Livorno was officially given the status of city and the architect Bernardo Buontalenti designed the city as an 'ideal town' with a population of 20,000 and a port that could hold 300 ships.
  • A medieval stone bridge that is known around the world for its beautify and uniqueness Locals still work and operate on the unique bridge still to this day and is part of the mysterious "Corridoio Vasariano" - The Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) was the only bridge spared by Hitler's strict orders while retreating from his opposition during World War 2. Locals say his decision was to save its beauty, as many building were destroyed either end of the bridge to block the enemy passing.
  • Church of the Franciscans in Florence, one of the finest examples of Italian Gothic architecture. It was begun in 1294, possibly designed by Arnolfo di Cambio, and was finished in 1442, with the exception of the 19th-century Gothic Revival facade and campanile. On many of the interior walls are masterpieces of Tuscan Gothic or proto-Renaissance painting: the Bardi and Peruzzi chapels’ frescoes are by Giotto.
  • A square with a panoramic view of Florence, located in the Oltrarno district of the city. This Florentine piazza was designed by architect Giuseppe Poggi and built in 1869 on a hill just south of the historic center, during the redevelopment of the left bank of the Arno river. In 1869, Florence was the capital of Italy and the whole city was involved in an urban renewal.
  • The Leaning tower of Pisa is a world-renowed highlight of Italy! Everyone indeed is able to recall its iconic feature, due to the soft ground made of clay, which caused the tower’s slow sliding in the past centuries. Visiting the Tower of Pisa and the beautiful Square of Miracles means today to get in touch with history, literarture, religion and masters of arts. Built between the XII and the XIV century, it is more than 150 feet tall and offers a unparalleled dizzying experience.
  • The "Square of Miracles" is located in Pisa with its vocal point being the world famous Leaning tower of Pisa. The square is credited as being one of the most important architectural areas in the world due to its various medieval art located in the squares Cathedral and Baptistery.

While enjoying your Mediterranean sea cruise vacation, don’t miss the opportunity to visit two of the most iconic cities of Tuscany: Florence, the capital of Renaissance, and Pisa famous for its lining tower.


Starting with our professional meet and greet service from Livorno port, you'll be on your way to walk in the footsteps of Da Vinci and Michelangelo with your private driving guide in no time! Once you arrive in Florence, you'll be shown the highlights of the city during a relaxed walking tour, having time to ask as many questions as you wish and allow your private guide to show you the locals routes through the city.


Other than having a choice to enter either the Accademia gallery, which is home to the original hand carved Michelangelo statue of David, or the grand Uffizi art gallery, holding masterpieces from Caravaggio and Da Vinci, you'll also see Florence highlights such as Ponte Vecchio, the church of Santa Croce, the Duomo and the Piazza of Michelangelo, which is the perfect place to see the sublime skyline of Florence.


A little later in the afternoon, you'll be driven to the small town of Pisa. On the way you'll pass through scenic roads of Tuscany with countless countryside hills to admire. Upon arriving, your guide will explain the intriguing history of the town and also the world famous Pisa tower. After free time to enjoy the sites within the main square, you'll make your final leg of today's trip with a return to the Port of Livorno.

  2. Peace of Mind policy is applied on Selected Bookings and on all Bookings placed within 72 hours from the date of the event. We provide all our customers with Refundable Terms so if you are unable to attend your booking due to unforeseen circumstances outside of your control you may be entitled to a refund - please see our full set of Refundable Terms and Conditions here.
