The Port of La Spezia overlooks the northern Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a natural port that offers many advantages for maritime and land transport. Thanks to its strategic geographical position, it is one of the most important commercial ports in the Mediterranean.
-
On the northwest Italian coast is the seaside town of Viareggio, a seaside town in the Italian Riviera which has been famous to locals for hosting an annual Carnival Parade since 1873. The town is perfect for a stroll along the beach and browsing in designer boutiques. Initially built as the port to the city of Lucca, competing with that of Pisa, the town of Viareggio didn’t really grow into the definition of a full-fledged city until the 1800s. In the 20th century the first nucleus of the 3 km long “La Passeggiata” began to take shape, a wide road running parallel to the beach decorated with gelato stores, caffès and park benches in the “liberty style.
-
The "Square of Miracles" is located in Pisa with its vocal point being the world famous Leaning tower of Pisa. The square is credited as being one of the most important architectural areas in the world due to its various medieval art located in the squares Cathedral and Baptistery.
-
The Leaning tower of Pisa is a world-renowed highlight of Italy! Everyone indeed is able to recall its iconic feature, due to the soft ground made of clay, which caused the tower’s slow sliding in the past centuries. Visiting the Tower of Pisa and the beautiful Square of Miracles means today to get in touch with history, literarture, religion and masters of arts. Built between the XII and the XIV century, it is more than 150 feet tall and offers a unparalleled dizzying experience.
