Tour description
Embark on a spectacular journey through the heart of the Dolomites, where crystal-clear lakes meet soaring alpine peaks. This full-day private tour unveils the region’s most breathtaking natural wonders through an unforgettable route filled with beauty, tranquility, and ever-changing landscapes. With a dedicated private driver and guide at your side, you'll enjoy a seamless, personalized experience that captures the very soul of South Tyrol.
Your day begins early in the morning with a scenic drive towards Lake Braies, one of the most iconic and photographed lakes in the Dolomites. Nestled at 1,500 meters above sea level, its emerald waters reflect the towering peaks around it, offering a picture-perfect moment at every angle.
From here, continue to Lake Dobbiaco, a small and serene jewel tucked between two majestic nature parks: the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Fanes-Senes-Braies. This quiet spot feels like a hidden treasure, ideal for soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and pristine views.
Next, ascend towards the enchanting Lake Misurina, known as the “Pearl of the Dolomites.” At 1,754 meters, it’s the largest natural lake in Cadore and offers stunning views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, mirrored in its still waters. A perfect place for a photo stop or a peaceful stroll.
After a short break, your adventure leads to the vibrant town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, nestled among the peaks and valleys. Known as the “Queen of the Dolomites,” this alpine gem has long been a playground for mountaineers, skiers, and nature lovers.
The journey then climbs the Giau Pass, one of the most scenic roads in the Alps. With every curve, new perspectives unfold—rolling meadows, jagged peaks, and pure alpine air. Prepare to be mesmerized.
From here, we cross into the Fedaia Pass, home to the striking Lake Fedaia, lying at the foot of the mighty Marmolada Glacier, the highest peak in the Dolomites. It’s a landscape shaped by time and nature, offering an awe-inspiring contrast between water and ice.
We descend through the charming village of Canazei, in the heart of the Alta Val di Fassa, where Ladin culture and Dolomitic tradition still thrive. A perfect opportunity to enjoy lunch in one of the region’s cozy mountain huts or elegant restaurants, depending on your preference.
As the day continues, you’ll drive through the Costalunga Pass, where the scenery softens into forested slopes and golden pastures. And finally, as the sun begins to set, you arrive at Lake Carezza—the “Rainbow Lake.” This iconic spot is famous for its magical reflections of the Latemar Mountains, especially during the golden hour when the lake glows with every shade of the spectrum.
The tour concludes with a relaxed return to your hotel in the early evening, your heart and camera full of unforgettable memories. More than a scenic drive, this is a curated encounter with the Dolomites' most poetic landscapes—tailored to your pace, preferences, and love for natural beauty.
