Tour description

Embark on a breathtaking journey through the heart of the Dolomites on this full-day private tour. Designed to showcase the dramatic landscapes, quaint alpine villages, and timeless charm of South Tyrol, this experience is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the natural and cultural beauty of northern Italy—with all the comfort of a private driver and expert guide.

Your day begins with a morning departure from your hotel. From there, you'll head towards the peaceful Val di Funes, where storybook views of rolling meadows and jagged peaks set the tone for the day. Quiet and picturesque, this valley offers the perfect introduction to the unique scenery of the Dolomites.

The road then climbs gently to Passo delle Erbe, one of the most scenic passes in the region. Here, you can take a short stroll through lush pastures and stop for a coffee at an authentic alpine hut—a cappuccino with an unforgettable view.

Next, continue through the iconic Val Badia, one of the Dolomites’ most culturally rich areas, where the ancient Ladin language and traditions still thrive. Your guide will share insights into the region’s heritage as you make your way toward the dramatic landscapes of Falzarego Pass, a legendary route surrounded by towering cliffs and rugged rock formations.

From there, descend to the spectacular Giau Pass, a favorite among photographers for its sweeping panoramas and open sky. Then loop back toward Ortisei via Campolongo Pass and the majestic Gardena Pass, each offering its own unique perspective on the region’s alpine beauty.

Lunch is not fixed but tailored to your preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for a rustic mountain inn serving hearty Ladin fare or a refined restaurant with creative takes on regional cuisine, your guide will recommend the perfect place based on your tastes and timing.

As the day winds down, enjoy a peaceful drive back to your hotel in the late afternoon or early evening, your memory filled with alpine meadows, jagged peaks, and the unmistakable scent of pine forests carried on the mountain breeze.

Let yourself be moved by the colors, the silence, and the majesty of the Dolomites—one of Italy’s most magical landscapes.
