Tour description

Discover the authentic soul of South Tyrol on this unforgettable private day trip, where breathtaking alpine landscapes meet delicious local traditions. This experience blends nature, culture, and food into a perfectly balanced journey that feels as genuine as the mountain air you’ll breathe throughout the day.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from your accommodation to the picturesque village of Fiè allo Sciliar, nestled at the foot of one of the most majestic massifs of the Dolomites. The first stop is an unexpected treat: the Coffeeseum, a charming museum entirely dedicated to the history of coffee. Here you’ll explore a unique private collection of antique grinders, and learn the story of coffee’s long voyage from the equator to the cup. It's a surprisingly captivating introduction to the day — and yes, coffee is served.

From here, you’ll set out on a peaceful and easy walk through the forest, following well-maintained mountain paths that lead you to the idyllic Lake Fiè. Surrounded by deep woods and mirrored mountain peaks, this is the kind of place where time seems to pause. Whether it's spring bloom, summer sun, or autumn colors, the beauty of this lake never fails to inspire. The walk lasts about 2.5 hours in total, with a gentle elevation gain and ample time to stop and take it all in.

After reconnecting with your driver, the tour continues on one of the most scenic panoramic roads in the region, climbing gently through rolling pastures and pine forests. Your destination: La Fogl, a traditional South Tyrolean farmstead nestled in the hills. Here you’ll be warmly welcomed by Regina, the heart and soul of this magical place. A farmer, a self-taught cook, and a storyteller, she’ll open her kitchen to you for a truly local cooking class.

You’ll learn how to make traditional South Tyrolean dumplings (Knödel) and the iconic apple strudel from scratch, using farm-fresh ingredients and age-old techniques passed down through generations. The class is hands-on, relaxed, and filled with laughter. Once everything is ready, you'll sit down at a rustic table and enjoy the fruits of your labor, served alongside selected local wines and a homemade digestif — just like a proper mountain lunch should be.

After the meal, there's time for a short visit of the farm and its surroundings. Depending on your mood, your private driver will take you back to your hotel via the direct road or through a more scenic route, letting you savor the last glimpses of the Dolomites’ magical landscapes.

This is more than just a tour — it’s a day to slow down, connect with the land, meet wonderful people, and create memories that are as rich and comforting as the warm strudel you’ll bake with your own hands.
