Tour description

Uncover the true character of South Tyrol on a private day experience that brings together alpine landscapes, local traditions, and heartfelt hospitality. This journey is carefully designed to feel natural and unforced, combining light outdoor activity with food, stories, and places that reflect everyday life in the Dolomites.

Your day begins with a scenic drive to Fiè allo Sciliar, a postcard-perfect village resting at the base of one of the region’s most striking mountain groups. Here, the experience opens with an unexpected and delightful visit to the Coffeeseum, a small museum devoted entirely to the history of coffee. Inside, a private collection of antique grinders and objects tells the story of how coffee traveled across continents to become part of daily life. It is an engaging and surprisingly intimate introduction to the day, made even better by enjoying a coffee along the way.

From Fiè, you set out on a gentle forest walk, following well-kept mountain paths that lead through quiet woodland to the serene Lake Fiè. Encircled by dense trees and reflected peaks, the lake feels peaceful and timeless in every season. The walk lasts around two and a half hours, with minimal elevation gain and plenty of opportunities to pause, take photos, and simply enjoy the stillness of the landscape.

After rejoining your driver, the journey continues along one of the area’s most beautiful panoramic mountain roads, winding through pastures and pine forests toward a traditional South Tyrolean farm. Tucked into the hills, this family-run property feels far removed from modern life. Here you are welcomed by Regina, whose warmth and passion define the experience. Farmer, self-taught cook, and natural storyteller, she invites you into her kitchen for a truly local hands-on cooking class.

Together, you prepare classic South Tyrolean recipes such as Knödel dumplings and homemade apple strudel, using fresh farm ingredients and traditional techniques passed down through generations. The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, more like cooking with family than attending a formal lesson. Once everything is ready, you sit down at a rustic table to enjoy your meal, paired with local wines and a homemade digestif, just as it would be in a mountain home.

After lunch, there is time to explore the farm and its surroundings before beginning the return journey. Depending on your preference, your private driver will take you back via the most direct route or along a more scenic road, allowing you to enjoy the final views of the Dolomites.

This private South Tyrol day tour is about slowing down and reconnecting. It is an experience shaped by nature, people, and simple pleasures, leaving you with memories that feel genuine, warm, and deeply rooted in the land.
