  • Monterosso is a picturesque coastal village nestled along the rugged shoreline of the Italian Riviera, specifically part of the Cinque Terre region. Known for its stunning landscapes, Monterosso is the westernmost of the five colorful villages that make up Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is characterized by its charming narrow streets, pastel-colored buildings, and a beautiful sandy beach that stretches along the waterfront. Monterosso is divided into two distinct parts: the historic old town, characterized by medieval structures, and the newer Fegina area, which boasts a more modern atmosphere with hotels, restaurants, and shops. Visitors can explore the enchanting streets, relax on the beach, and savor local delicacies, including fresh seafood and the renowned Ligurian pesto. Monterosso's unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness makes it a popular destination for both beach lovers and those seeking an authentic Italian experience.
  • Vernazza, a jewel of the Cinque Terre, is a captivating coastal village that enchants visitors with its timeless beauty. Nestled between steep cliffs and the azure Ligurian Sea, Vernazza is characterized by its colorful buildings perched on the rocky shoreline. The picturesque harbor, framed by a medieval tower, invites exploration, while narrow alleyways lead to charming piazzas and hidden corners. With its rich maritime history, vibrant atmosphere, and stunning coastal views, Vernazza adds another layer of charm to the unique tapestry of the Cinque Terre experience.
  • Perched high on a rocky terrace, Corniglia is the only Cinque Terre village not directly on the sea. Its elevated position offers dramatic coastal views and a quieter, more secluded atmosphere.
  • Manarola is a stunning coastal village nestled in the Cinque Terre region of Italy, celebrated for its captivating beauty and distinctive charm. Perched on the cliffs overlooking the Ligurian Sea, Manarola is renowned for its vibrant and colorful buildings that create a postcard-worthy panorama. With its picturesque harbor, narrow alleys, and breathtaking views, Manarola offers visitors a tranquil and authentic Italian experience. This enchanting village, part of the Cinque Terre National Park, is a destination where visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture, savor delightful cuisine, and relish the serene coastal atmosphere.
  • Riomaggiore descends steeply toward a narrow harbor carved into the cliffs. Its colorful houses, stacked vertically above the water, create one of the most striking and iconic silhouettes of the Cinque Terre.
  • A natural horseshoe-shaped bay surrounded by red volcanic cliffs and small caves. Known for its crystal-clear water and dramatic rock formations, it is one of the most scenic swimming spots along the Riviera.

Tour description

Discovering the Cinque Terre by private boat reveals the coastline in its most striking and authentic form. Over the course of a full day at sea, your journey follows the shoreline past the five renowned villages — Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore — each emerging from the cliffs as a vivid blend of color, stone, and centuries-old tradition. Seen from the water, the terraced vineyards, narrow paths, and dramatic rock faces form a seamless dialogue between land and sea.

The pace of the cruise is intentionally slow, allowing time to fully absorb both wide coastal views and peaceful pauses at anchor. A standout moment of the day is the stop at Rocce Rosse, a natural inlet shaped like a crescent and surrounded by red-hued volcanic rock. The sheltered, crystal-clear waters here invite swimming and quiet contemplation, offering a rare sense of untouched beauty along the Ligurian coast.

As the route continues, the boat makes its way toward Vernazza, the only village where you step ashore. Approaching from the sea delivers a memorable perspective: the small harbor embraced by pastel houses, crowned by its medieval tower. You have free time to explore the village, wander its narrow streets, or choose a local restaurant for lunch, guided by the scents and rhythms of everyday life.

Back on board, the navigation resumes toward the remaining villages. Corniglia, perched high above the water, stands apart on its rocky terrace, while Manarola unfolds in layers of colorful homes above a quiet cove. The journey concludes with Riomaggiore, where tall buildings cascade dramatically toward the sea. Viewed from the boat, each village reveals its most genuine character, shaped by steep hillsides and the open horizon beyond.

Throughout the day, your skipper steers through scenic stretches and hidden coves, adapting the rhythm to the sea conditions, light, and your personal preferences. The return journey offers a final panorama of the Cinque Terre coastline, bathed in the warm glow of the afternoon. By the end of the cruise, you’ll have experienced the essence of this iconic region: nature, color, tradition, and the enduring spirit of Italy’s coastal heritage.
