  • The Museum of Glass in Murano resides in a former bishops' palace with roots in Flamboyant Gothic architecture. Originally a patrician's palace, it underwent major renovations in 1659 under Bishop Marco Giustinian. After changing hands several times, it became the Murano Municipality's town hall in 1840. In 1861, it transformed into a museum and archive, gradually occupying the entire building. The museum features an 18th-century fresco by Francesco Zugno and notable chandeliers, including one by Giovanni Fuga and Lorenzo Santi from the 1864 Murano Glass Exposition, awarded a gold medal. Since 1923, it has been part of the Venice Civic Museums, preserving the legacy of Murano's glassmaking heritage.
