Tour description

Everybody loves Prosecco! Prosecco is a sparkling wine made in the Veneto region of Italy, mostly around the city of Treviso, about 15 miles (24 km) North of Venice. The wine is famous worldwide and boasts great fruit and flower aromas which are a product of the grape, named Glera. Leave Venice in the morning and be driven into the Veneto Wine Countryside. You will enjoy the beautiful Prosecco road & the local villages off the beaten track. This is an inspiring journey through vast vineyards and beautiful country landscapes. It is quite a remarkable reminder that this region saw major action during the first world war and the villages often treasure memories of a History-filled past. As the landscape suddenly becomes more alpine, a hairpin route through tunnels and bridges eventually brings you out to the beginning of the Dolomites and offers stunning sights. Of all the wine regions in the whole world, you’ll probably never see anything as dramatic as the vineyards of Prosecco: possibly, this area makes the Champagne region in France look like child’s play to cultivate! Given the fierce topography it’s no surprise to find that the Prosecco region has gained UNESCO World Heritage status. If you’re looking for old-world Italian elegance, luxury and charm, then head with us along the Prosecco Road, for a real taste of the area - and its refreshing fizz!
