Colosseum

One of the new wonders of the modern world is also the largest ever Amphitheatre constructed during Ancient times was built with Volcanic rock mixed with brick and held an estimated 50-80 thousand people. It was a real hub of entertainment in central Rome, with regular shows, animal hunts and gladiatorial battles. Races were not held within the Colosseum due to the nearby Circo Massimo race track.
Colosseum's Arena Floor

Access to the Arena floor is closed off to public by a small gate and is accessible with an internal Colosseum guide. The Arena floor offers views of the underground foundations below and the privilege to walk where Gladiators and wild beasts once fought to the death.
Roman Forum

Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required for safety. Access to the Colosseum may be denied without proper footwear.
Please ensure you bring valid photo ID or passports. Colosseum staff will perform checks, and access may be denied if the names on the tickets do not match the identification provided.
For security reasons all visitors are screened at the entrance and bags are checked with metal detectors and opened and visually inspected by the Urbe Security Institute, responsible for the entrance inspection.
It is not possible to bring large bags or backpacks, as well as bulky bags and trolleys to the sites. (only small or medium flat bags). Tripods are not allowed.

Baths of Caracalla

One of the few places you can still see an ancient structure’s full height – you’ll be transported to the 3rd century as you walk among this vast bath complex. You'll see where slaves loaded ancient furnaces to heat the water for the different pools of this amazingly still intact spa. You'll see mosaics that still decorate the pool floors, and even a game board used by bath visitors to pass the time while they soaked in the warm water. Baths of Diocletian

The Baths of Diocletian are one of the four sites of the National Roman Museum. The magnificent structure of the bath, the largest in Ancient Rome, was built between the years 298 and 306 A.D. As well as holding the traditional pools of water at various temperatures (calidarium, frigidarium and tepidarium), the bath also included a central hall, an open-air swimming pool and many other rooms which were put to various uses. Today, the bath is taken up mainly by the Museum of Epigraphy which collects and conserves written texts on various themes from the eighth century B.C. to the fourth century A.D.

Capitoline Museums

Visit the Capitoline Museums, the first public museum in the world. It houses a collection of art and archaeological museums in Piazza del Campidoglio, on top of the Capitoline Hill in Rome, Italy. Pope Sixtus IV was responsible for the creation of the Musei Capitolini's nucleus when in 1471 with the help of Michelangelo in 1536 and executed over a period of more than 400 years. The museums' collection has grown to include a large number of ancient Roman statues, inscriptions, and other artifacts; a collection of medieval and Renaissance art; and collections of jewels, coins, and other items.

Capuchin's Bone Crypt

The Capuchin Crypt is a small space comprised of several tiny chapels located beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini on Via Veneto near Piazza Barberini. You'll be amazed by the strangely decorated Capuchin Chapel - which displays the bones of over 4,000 Capuchin monks! The Capuchin order insists that the display is not meant to be creepy, but instead, a silent reminder of the swift passage of life on Earth and our own mortality. Carcere Mamertino

Carcere Mamertino is the most ancient prison in Rome, where the Apostles St. Paul and St. Peter were imprisoned for 9 months and where, according to legend, they miraculously made water appear to baptize the guardians.

Catacombs of Domitilla

The quiet tunnels will come to life as your guide tells you the stories and legends of early Christianity during the days of Roman persecution. The catacombs were the underground burial places of the early Christian and Jewish communities.
