  • The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is Italy's oldest active shopping mall and a major landmark of Milan, Italy. Housed within a four-story double arcade in the center of town, the Galleria is named after Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy. It was designed in 1861 and built by architect Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1877.
  • The Duomo in Milan is the main Cathedral and dedicated to the sacred Santa Maria Nascente. Is a majestic building in white marble and also one of the largest Catholic churches in the world. The construction of the Cathedral began in 1386, which coincided with Gian Galeazzo Visconti coming into power. The site where the Cathedral is currently situated was previously occupied by the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio. During the construction period of five centuries, numerous international architects worked at the Duomo of Milan. It is the most important example of Gothic architecture in Italy.
  • Porta Nuova, an avant-garde district in Milan, invites you to a realm of modernity and innovation. Marvel at sleek skyscrapers and contemporary design that define the city's skyline. Here, the Bosco Verticale, or Vertical Forest, stands as a green oasis, its residential towers adorned with flourishing vegetation, a striking testament to sustainable architecture. Porta Nuova represents Milan's progressive spirit, seamlessly blending cutting-edge structures with environmental consciousness. Explore this dynamic district, where the pulse of urban life and architectural ingenuity converge in a captivating display.
  • Bosco Verticale, or the Vertical Forest, is an architectural marvel nestled in Milan's Porta Nuova district. These residential towers redefine the cityscape with their extraordinary vertical forests. Picture soaring skyscrapers adorned with verdant balconies, creating a living, breathing masterpiece against the backdrop of Milan's urban landscape. Designed to harmonize with nature, the Bosco Verticale is a pioneering example of sustainable living, offering not just a home but an immersive experience where architecture and ecology coalesce. Witness the intersection of urban sophistication and environmental consciousness in this extraordinary showcase of green innovation.
  • The history of Milan comes to life through the street art of Ortica and the frescoes painted on the walls of this neighborhood, serving as an open-air museum accessible to all and free of charge. This extraordinary project, known as OR.ME Ortica Memoria, consists of over 20 continuously updated works of urban art, among the most imposing in Italy, skillfully crafted by the collective of artists known as OrticaNoodles. Each mural tells a chapter of Milan's 20th-century history, transforming the Ortica district into a kind of visual chronicle of the city. This initiative originated in the heart of Ortica, a neighborhood with a rich historical tradition spanning centuries, intricately woven into the broader context of Milan and its surroundings. OR.ME chose to shape this history into murals, creating an itinerary that takes Milanese and tourists outside the city center, inviting them to discover a different perspective of the metropolis. The idea took shape in 2015, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Liberation when the Buccari overpass hosted the first mural titled "Le parole della Libertà" (The Words of Freedom), thanks to the spontaneous initiative of local associations. Since then, numerous other works have been created, actively and spontaneously involving hundreds of young people and citizens of the neighborhood.
  • Naviglio Grande is a historic canal in Milan, Italy, renowned for its picturesque and lively atmosphere. Constructed in the 12th century, the canal was initially designed as a navigable waterway to facilitate transportation of goods, particularly connecting Milan with the Ticino River. Over the years, it played a crucial role in the economic development of the city. Today, Naviglio Grande is a charming district known for its vibrant nightlife, quaint cafes, and art galleries. The canal is lined with colorful buildings, and during the evening, the area comes alive with locals and tourists alike, enjoying the various bars and restaurants that overlook the water. The Naviglio Grande is also a hub for cultural events, markets, and festivals, making it a popular destination for those seeking a blend of history, culture, and modern urban life. The picturesque surroundings, historic bridges, and the overall ambiance contribute to the allure of Naviglio Grande as one of Milan's iconic and enjoyable areas.
