The Medieval past is regularly showed with pride at the twice a year horse show, "il palio" - The city also carries a vast and deep rivalry with the capital of Tuscany, Florence, of which can be noticed throughout the various building designs.
  • San Gimignano is worldwide famous to be one of the most well preserved medieval cities of Europe, featuring an iconic skyline made up of 14 original towers, mainly erected around the XIII century.
