  • The centre of Florence offers a world of Renaissance wonders. Explore the atmospheric streets full of local craftsmen of wood and leather as well as great places to eat local meat. Marvel at the daunting Duomo and walk along the beautiful Ponte Vecchio.
  • The main symbol of Florence is its impressive and imposing Duomo, named Santa Maria del Fiore. Famously designed by Arnolfo di Cambio six hundred years ago, it is still the third largest in the world! The outer colours and facade strongly follow the local traditions in Florence, holding the medieval rivalry again Siena within its design. Having a guided tour lets you understand the history full facade as well as the beautiful frescoed ceiling that is waiting for you inside.
  • Characterized by the white Carrara and green Prato marble, it is one of the most ancient churches in Florence and gently marks the square of the city Cathedral. Its fascinating past, combining faith, history and art, has given scholars much food for thought with regard to its meaning and connection to the Renaissance era.
  • Florence's Dome is the production of Renaissance genius Filippo Brunelleschi. The construction of Santa Maria del Fiore has met a really challenging and complicated architectural issue: the Dome structure itself. It proved extremely difficult to develop machines capable of working to the Dome heights, never imagined before. It was thanks to Brunelleschi and its ‘double shell structure’ invention that the construction could be finally completed. Inside the Dome it is possible to see up close Giorgio Vasari’s beautiful frescoes. Vasari designed and drafted the extraordinary Judgement, terminated by his student Federico Zuccari in 1579

Tour description

Enjoy a walk in the city of beauty discovering the majestic Duomo with its Dome built by Brunelleschi and discover with your guide step by

step all the phases of its creation.

When it was built, Santa Maria del Fiore was the largest existing basilica with its 153 meters long and still today it impresses visitors with its majesty.

Giotto’s tower is the Cathedral Bell Tower and its construction is contemporary to the one of the church.
