Born in: Rome
Nationality: Italian
My Studies: PhD Archaeologist and Historian
Languages I speak: English, Italian
My Tours are: informative and entertaining, dynamic and customizable. You ask, I answer. If you have no questions, I'll do it for you!
If I was a phrase I would be:
"I see wonderful things!"
I first watched Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was 6 or 7 years old and I thought: I wanna be an archaeologist!
Flying all over the world to do academic research: done!
Finding mysterious ancient ruins in the Egyptian desert: done!
Meeting the most beautiful girls: ok...next point!
I've got all the boring academic papers an archaeologist needs (Degree, MA, PhD) but the one that changed my life has been my Tour Guide license. So here I am, to guide English-speaking people from all over the world through the wonders of Rome.
Why should you have to tour with me? Because in addition to the tons of historical info you can usually get from a tour guide, I can show you Rome through the eyes of a true Roman. We'll walk in front of my high school beside the Pantheon.
You'll see the first ancient room I dug in the Roman Forum during my internship in archaeology.
You'll enter that church close to Trevi where my grandparents have got married. Because I have not only studied Rome but lived it!
Being a tour guide is: to me a great tour guide is a talented storyteller with a massive cultural background. I know you are on vacation but you want to see as much as possible. I know you want to learn tons of things but at the same time, you are afraid that your kids or your old Mum will get tired. I know you want to go more in-depth with the history of Rome and you are looking for someone to make it accessible for the entire family. I hope I'll be that person for you!
