  • GNAM - National Gallery of Modern Art
  • Maxxi Museum
  • Macro Future Museum
  • You can imagine how Rome is not just Archeology, Renaissance or Baroque art. Art history in the past centuries was changed forever by masters such as Picasso, Monet or Pollock and some of their best known masterpieces are on display inside this modern and iconic building which is well worth a visit.
  • A uniquely modern museum situated in a city that has more visible Ancient ruins than any other in the world. It is officially the National museum of 21st-century arts and consists mainly of contemporary art and architecture.
  • The Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome is actually split between two sites and consists of more underground, obscure pieces rather than the architecture of the building. In comparison to the famous MAXXI museum which is a recent build by an award winning architect, the MACRO museums are based in older buildings that were both a brewery and even a slaughterhouse.
