  • Located within the Borghese Gardens, the Borghese Gallery is a real gem in the heart of Rome- a museum that houses a vast collection of paintings, sculptures and frescoes by masters such as Canova, Caravaggio, Bernini and Tiziano.
  • Being the green lung of Rome, the Borghese Gardens - adjacent to Villa Borghese, are located on the Pincian Hill, close to Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. Developed in 1606 by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, who wanted to turn his former vineyard into the most extensive gardens built in Rome, they feature 80 hectares of a stunning natural setting that houses beautiful monuments, fountains, and flora.

The Borghese Gallery is a real gem in the heart of Rome, a museum that houses a vast collection of paintings, sculptures and frescoes by masters such as Canova, Caravaggio and Bernini. Meet your personal storyteller and start this journey by discovering these incredible masterpieces by the greatest Italian artists and learn all about the Borghese Family, which played a major role in Roman history.

You will have the opportunity to admire Canova's famous sculpture of Paolina Borghese Bonaparte as Venus Victrix, which caused a stir when it became known that the sister of Napoleon Bonaparte posed nude for this work of art. You will also see Apollo and Daphne and the Pluto’s Abduction of Proserpina by Bernini, Raphael's Entombment of Christ, Caravaggio's Sick Bacchus, and Titian's Sacred and Profane Love (also known as Venus and the Bride).

End this tour outside the Borghese Gallery, discovering its Gardens a stunning natural setting that houses beautiful fountains, monuments, gardens and flora.

  • The first Sunday of each month the entrance is free
  • At the Borghese Gallery, it is not allowed to enter with food and beverages (water included).
  • All kinds of bags, backpacks, umbrellas, strollers and selfie-sticks will have to be left at the cloakroom located in the lobby of the Museum.

  • Eyes of Rome operates on a Full Refund Policy of the amount paid during the booking for cancellations made with 30-days minimum notice
  • For cancellations/amendments requested from 30 to 3 days from the tour starting time, Eyes of Rome reserves the right to charge or hold from the downpayment % of your booking
  • For no shows on the day of the tour or cancellations/amendments requested less than 72 hours from the tour starting time, Eyes of Rome reserves the right to hold the amount paid during check out and charge any remaining balance for incomplete payments
