The Eyes of Rome Wine Tour is the perfect way to immerse yourself in authentic Italian culture. On the Wine Tour, you will visit several enoteche - Italian wineries - within the city center and sample some of Italy's finest wines. These enoteche carry local wine from the Lazio region as well as other popular wine-producing regions of Italy. As you walk to the various locales in the balmy evening twilight of Rome, your guide will discuss important points of the eternal city along the way. Don't worry if you know nothing about wine - our Wine Tour is enjoyable for beginners and connoisseurs alike.

You will have the opportunity to taste some of the varieties that made Italian wine famous - Amarone, Brunello, Barbaresco, and, of course, Chianti - to name a few. You will taste a wide range of red wines from full bodied and tannic Barolo of the Piedmont Region, to a light and fruity Bardolino produced in the Veneto area. In the white variety you will have the chance to sample wines such as a dry and delicate Gavi, to the well-known sparkling white Asti.

Your guide will ensure that you also enjoy some of the regional wines of Rome as well, such as the traditional Fragolino, a sweet dessert wine made from strawberry grapes. To compliment your wine tasting, the enoteche will provide an array of snacks including fine cheeses and perhaps a taralino or two. Taralini are salty doughnut-shaped crackers that whet the palette marvelously for wine tasting - an authentic Italian wine snack.
