Rome on two wheels

The Eyes of Rome Bike Tour allows you to cover more ground in a faster manner so that you can get the most out of your visit to Rome. Don't worry, your tour guide will be sure to take you through the quieter streets and bike paths of the city to avoid Rome's heavy traffic. You will see the most popular sights such as the Forum and the Colosseum, but your Eyes of Rome tour guide will also take you to some of the hidden gems of the city.

At the Colosseum, park your bike and see the inside of the breathtaking amphitheater where gladiator fights once took place. Walk among the ruins of the Imperial Forum where the majestic villas of emperors once stood and where ancient Roman civilization developed. Visit the most amazing work of architecture of the ancient world - the Pantheon, the most well-preserved building from the Roman Empire standing. Hear how this fascinating temple was constructed and how it stood as a model for Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo as he created the cupola of St. Peter's Basilica.

Bike to Piazza Navona - one of Rome's most beautiful squares - and Campo dei Fiori - where locals and tourists alike come to enjoy the quaint bars and cafe's lining the Campo. Ride by the Spanish steps where the world's top fashion designers have flashy boutiques. See the Circus Maximus, learn how the most enormous hippodrome in the world, the first and largest circus in Rome, was abandoned and turned into a vacant field for jogging.

Partake in a famous Roman tradition and place your hand in the Mouth of Truth. But be careful - the mouth is said to cut off the hands of liars...

Stand in awe before the Cappuccini Friars Crypt, where the bones of their dead adorn the walls in ornamental design. In the Crypt of Three skeletons, you will have the opportunity to see a clock made entirely of the bones of human fingers.

Peer through the ornate Aventine keyhole at the Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta at the top of the garden of oranges where you will have a view of the single most important thing in the city. This famous keyhole is located in the Priory of the Knights of Malta and is only known and important to the people of Rome - Eyes of Rome tour guides will lead you to these secret treasures of the city. You will also have the option to see the ancient Jewish neighborhood near the Vatican which houses the synagogue and museum of Jewish history. Listen to the tales of the triumphs and struggles of the Jewish people of the past residing in this timeless city.

We will finish the tour in St. Peter's Square, where you can decide if you'd like to enter the Basilica and Museum or simply tour the highlights from outside. Your Eyes of Rome guide will happily photograph you and your group as you bask in the beauty of the square of the largest and tallest Catholic church in the world.
