Immerse Yourself in the City of Water

A trip to Venice is an unforgettable experience you will treasure for the rest of your life. Experience a one of the most unique cities in the world without the loud hum of road traffic. In your Venice in One Day tour, we will make sure you see the most important points of this picturesque city.

We will begin in Piazza San Marco, the central square of Venice. A water-taxi will bring you from the sea port to the square. Piazza San Marco is surrounded by three main buildings - St. Mark's Basilica, the Basilica's campanile, and Doge's Palace. You will have the opportunity to enter the Basilica and walk up to the balcony where there is a breathtaking view of the entire Square and the Grand Canal.

We will then proceed to walk through the quaint streets of the city. Your guide will point out important historical points along the way, including Teatro la Fenice and San Stefano. We will then cross the Ponte Dell'Accademia where there is a beautiful view of Venice from the Grand Canal, and arrive at the Accademia. Within the galleries of the Accademia you will see works by artists of the Bizantine and Gothic fourteenth century to artists of the Renaissance and the eighteenth century, including works by Veronese, Bellini, Carpaccio, Titian, Tintoretto, Bellotto, and Longhi to name a few.

After a break for lunch where you can stop at any of the nearby restaurants for some authentic Venetian cuisine, you will have the opportunity to take a boat tour of the Grand Canal and get a sweeping overview of Venice from the city's most beautiful "street". We will see the house of Marco Polo and many of the famous palaces and churches that line the sparkling water of the Grand Canal. We'll then cruise along the smaller canals to get a feel for the more romantic back streets of this magical city.

You will also have the option of visiting the Island of Murano where you can witness the world-renowned glass masters at work and walk through the galleries of their exquisite glass masterpieces. You can then return to your cruise ship or dine in the city center in a candlelit restaurant along the Canal, the perfect way to complete your day in the romantic city of Venice.
