What happens if I decide to cancel my booking?
Eyes of Rome’s policy is to deal with payments directly on site on the day the service is provided. This is to give a total flexibility to our clients to modify, change or cancel their reservation at any time prior the start of the service. There won’ t be any charge for no-show or last-minute cancellation.

Why you do not collect credit cards payment in advance?
Eyes of Rome bookings do not require payments in advance. This is to allow our clients the highest possible flexibility and freedom after the reservation. The booking process does not require you to enter credit card, bank account, online account information. The customer will be charged only on the day of the service and payments will be collected cash or credit card – Mastercard, Visa (an extra 3% of the total price of the service) or Amex (an extra 4% of the total price of the service). When canceling any booking Eyes of Rome™ or any associated partner will never request you to pay a cancellation fee or a percentage of the initial booking. No charge is applied for last minute cancellations.

Do the costs of the tours include the entry fees?
Entry fees are not included in the service cost.
2009 fees:
Vatican Museums, 14 Euro (children 7 and under free)
Colosseum, 11 Euro (Children 7 and under free).

Are headsets included?
Headsets are generally only necessary for groups of 10 people or more and are not included within the tour fee. An extra 2.00 euros per person will be charged at the end of your service if you wish to add headsets to your group.

Why your papal audience tickets are free?
Papal audiences is a service provided by the Vatican for all the people wishing to meet the Holy Father with the opportunity of a blessing and it is open to anyone without any money restrictions therefore they are given by the Vatican for free. A ticket will allow you to sit on a chair and attend the audience. We reserve the tickets for you for free as a service provided by our agency. If you wish them to be delivered to your hotel the night before the audience then a delivery fee of 20 euros will be applied, otherwise you can meet directly an agent of Eyes of Rome in st. Peter’s Square to receive your tickets on the day the papal audience takes place.

Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. You will not be charged at the time of your booking so please make sure you bring your credit card with you on the day of your tour or transfer and you will be billed after your services. All major credit cards accepted – Mastercard, Visa (an extra 3% of the total price of the service) or Amex (an extra 4% of the total price of the service)

Will my guide meet me at my hotel or a specified meeting point?
The benefits of booking a private tour guide is that you can customize your tour in the way you prefer. If requested our guides will be happy to meet you directy where you will be staying where you will decide together if going to the desired location with a taxi or on foot. If you wish to to have a meal somewhere in town and would like your tour guide to meet you for the afternoon tour directly at the restaurant you will be eating at or elsewhere please feel free to add once completing the booking for or give us a call.

Is transportation included?
Unless specified at the time of the booking, you will not have any transport assigned to your tour. If you wish to add a private car with a driver please do so by ticking the appropriate box in the booking form. Do consider that a private car only be booked for as long as you require the services of your personal tour guide (3 hours). If you wish to move from hotel to the site of your tour your guide will book a taxi for you one way and take you to the nearest taxi station after the tour is ended.

What does suitable for children mean?
The tours labeled with the suitable for children icon are specific services designed for families in order to captivate the fantasy of some of the young ones that will be taken into a journey of discovery of the popular traditions, story tales and knowledge of some of the most amazing places of art and culture in the world.

What does wheelchair accessible mean?
The Vatican and the Colosseum are perfectly accessible to people with wheelchairs or walking difficulties. Please let us know your needs and we will book a wheelchair for you whereas possible.

Will I be on the tour just with my family or people I don t know?
Any service booked with us is a service open only to you and your family members or friends that you would like to make join only. You will only be with people you know all the time deciding your own itinerary and pace.

Can you guarantee me a particular guide?
Sure. If you were referred to our company by a friend or because you have read a review online and would like to book the services of a specific guide please do not hesitate to add it within the “further comments” section at the step 3 of the booking information letting us know your preference.

Do we have to be in line to enter the Vatican?
No, we will reserve the voucher tickets to enter the Vatican from a privileged skip the line entrance at no additional cost as a service provided exclusively by our agency.
For the Coliseum tickets can be purchased by us in advance prior the meeting time.

Is there a dress code at the Vatican?
Absolutely. Rome can be a hot city in the summer but please make sure that if your tour includes the Vatican then remember to bring long pants (or shorts up to the knee level) and long sleeves (or veil to cover your shoulder).
